Carsten...

Carsten is a German who lives in Switzerland and is completing his Masters in Education. One of the criteria for his academics is that he has to live in an English family for a total of 3 months. He had already done one month in Worthing back in February and came to work and stay with us at Sanctuary for the remaining 2 months. He is married and has an 8 year old son. It was hard for him to leave his family to accomplish this task but we really enjoyed having him. His mastery of the English language is wonderful and since he will be teaching in English for part of the time we saw his fluency increase. Each day we would say something that would perk his ears and he would ask what it meant. It was a lot of fun. We were thankful for Carsten being with us.
